Nationwide is on your side…

I went to my first high-level NASCAR event this past Saturday.  I was present to see Carl Edwards win the Nationwide race at the Milwaukee Mile. 

I didn’t think that 43 cars could be on the track at once without being on top of each other, but everything played out nicely and we got to see a very good race. 

Here are the cars after a restart:

I was watching Joey Lagano with some interest, and he didn’t disappoint.  I think he gained about 5 positions inside of 10 laps at one point.  Very impressive.  The Junior Nation that showed up did not approve of Joey’s handling of a pass on their boy Brad though. 

At one point early in the race my brother turns to me and says that I should watch Carl Edwards.  He noticed that Carl was moving fast to the front.  At the time Carl was about 10-12 or so.  Well, he was right Carl came up quick and took it home.
